I had both of my ears pierced at the beginning of April with a 4 gauge needle. I went from have no holes at all to a 4 guage within a matter of seconds. Some people are amazed by this fact, but this is proof that you don't have to start with a standard-sized hole and stretch it.

It didn't hurt much as my ears were getting pierced and I did not bleed at all. For the rest of the evening, the only pain was from a feeling of pressure on my ears. It kind of felt like a clothes pin was clamped to my ears. I was a little worried about sleeping the first night, but I slept fine.

For the healing process, I had glass pugs in my ears for several weeks and I used H2Ocean to clean my ears.
